It's been a MINUTE! I also desperately need to update the loaf log. But I need to get inspired again. I no longer have a big marble kitchen island so baking has become more of a hassle since I have to move things around to have a workspace. I am hoping that come fall, I have the confidence to try some new discard recipes.
Summers always get away from me - everything is so busy and in Minnesota it feels like you're wasting your time if you're not outside for at least a few hours every day. Every weekend is booked and busy. But you know what they say - the happiest people are the busiest - and I truly believe in that.
What else have I been up to? Well, for one I moved out of the city into the rural area! Now I have *land* & *garden*. I started a book club at work - we just finished 'None of this is true' by Lisa Jewell, now moving into reading 'Project Hail Mary' (I already watched the movie - oops!!), but excited to listen to the audiobook.
The garden is exploding with produce recently and it is a struggle to get to the harvest before the bunny or deer do. I don't even like cucumbers, but I swear they purposely take the biggest ones at the ripest moments to spite me.
ANYWAYS - life is good. I am truly in adult territory - going car shopping next week (dragging my dad along, of course), and Jimmy and I went ring shopping a few weeks ago. Honestly, choosing a ring is significantly harder than I thought it would be. It turns out I prefer a new style every other week. The summer has literally been so crazy that we haven’t gotten to go again. Soon!
